From new audio to lighting and menus, visitors at Chase Field are in for some surprises this year.
PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks open their season on March 28 at Chase Field against the Colorado Rockies.“We’re expecting a lot more when it comes to attendance," said Derrick Hall. president and CEO of the Arizona Diamondbacks."We’ve sold more. Our single-game sales are up 30% over last year. Our new season ticket holders is up 30%."
“Better visibility for the players and for the fans," Hall said."Reduced energy consumption. It’s about 50% compared to the prior lighting structure that we had. Improved broadcast quality. Heightened baseball experience." Chase Field’s executive chef Stephen Tilder and his crew came up with menu items that challenge the norm.
Korean Pork Belly Nacho: wonton chips, pork belly bacon, gochujang spiked cheese sauce, quick kimchee, pickled red onion and scallions.
