And fans responded to that message by doing what they have been doing from the start. They flooded the 54-year-old with more prayers and well-wishes. “Sir, I think you just got some dust in my eyes….” the Lummus Mitchell Foundation replied. “Our prayers to our Father above will not cease. Be blessed my friend… You are truly an amazing man – stay strong… Except for the good Lord about – I answer to no one … Let me know if we can help in any way.”Ford actually made his first statements since the incident when he called in on Tuesday to the Big D & Bubba show.
Ford, who has worked closely with Toby Keith, Jamey Johnson and Jason Aldean, has had his share of health issues.He also reportedly had eye cancer and had to undergo surgery three years ago to deal with that.
