A race fan is set to receive a new car after her Chevrolet was damaged by a flying tire at the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for Penske Entertainment, which owns the IMS track and the IndyCar Series,that the company would give Robin Matthews, a Indianapolis native, a new car. Matthews damaged Chevrolet was subsequently towed from the parking lot and she was given the gift of kissing the Yard of Bricks, which is a tradition saved typically for the race’s winner.Screengrab via Twitter/@@AndrewKossackIndyCar owner Roger Penske spoke up on Monday inafter the incident and that they were “very fortunate we didn’t have a bad accident.”
