Bobby Charlton, un icónico futbolista inglés que sobrevivió al accidente de avión que diezmó a un Manchester United destinado a la grandeza antes de convertirse en la pieza clave de la selección que ganó la Copa Mundial 1966, falleció.

Charlton disputó 758 encuentros con el United entre 1956 y 1973 al lado de estrellas como George Best y Denis Law en un momento que se recuerda como “la Trinidad” y que llevó al United a ganar la Copa Europea 1968 tras sobrevivir al accidente de Munich de 1958 en el que falleció casi todo el equipo que era conocido como los “Busby Babes'.
