A Fairfax County motor officer was hit by a Jeep Friday while driving on Braddock Road, police said inAt about 12:30 p.m., two officers on motorcycles were heading west in the right lane near George Mason University with sirens and lights flashing, Lt. Daniel Spital said. He said a westbound Jeep heard the sirens and moved into the right lane.One of the officers hit the back of the Jeep and flew off his motorcycle, striking the pavement, Spital said.
Spital declined to identify the officer injured in the crash. The officer had serious injuries but was conscious and alert that afternoon, Spital said.
