Police are trying to determine the source of the fliers.
The wording in the fliers was not released. Police said they were first notified by a resident in the 1400 block of Laurel Hill Road, just off Leesburg Pike near the McLean Bible Church complex, that a sealed plastic bag with an anti-Semitic flyer was on his property, weighed down with corn kernels.
The resident then found more than 70 additional flyers throughout the neighborhood, which officers collected for evidentiary processing. Fairfax police are investigating the flyers as a bias incident and said patrols have been increased in the area as a precaution. Anyone with information about the flyers, or who may have home surveillance footage capturing their distribution, is asked to call the Fairfax police Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau at 703-802-2750.
