On February 22 and 23, the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel and Conference Center will host the 2022 Interior Alaska Economic Summit being put on by the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
“This is a pretty exciting thing that we’ve got coming as part of our CEDS revision,” said Borough Mayor Bryce Ward.
CEDS is the borough’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. “We’re looking at the economy and the way that we can influence that as a community,” he said.The summit is free to attend, but according to Ward, “We do ask that folks sign up ahead of time. We want to make sure we’re being appropriately distanced and mindful of the COVID conditions out there.”The event will include breakout sessions for people to attend, which focus on different industries.
