We seek outstanding scientists with a strong potential for pioneering interdisciplinary research, particularly in areas that integrate mechanics with advanced technological developments across various engineering and science disciplines.
THUM is positioned at the forefront of research in mechanomaterials, a novel research paradigm at the intersection of mechanics, materials science, and biology, which centers on mechanics while focusing on materials. The Institute's vision is to leverage fundamental mechanics principles—particularly the relationships between force, geometry, and material properties—combined with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence techniques.
