"The International Atomic Energy Agency has concluded... that the approach to the discharge of ALPS treated water into the sea and the associated activities by Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, the Nuclear Regulation Authority and the government of Japan, are consistent with relevant international safety standards and the discharge... will have a negligible radiological impact on people and the environment.

"No discharges of ALPS treated water will be made from any tank to the sea unless the water from that tank meets the discharge standards instituted by the NRA and reviewed by the IAEA as part of its safety review.
