It is estimated that somewhere between 250 million and 280 million Facebook users, who created a Facebook account sometime between May 24, 2007, and Dec. 22, 2022, are eligible to claim a part in this settlement, according to USA Today.
To submit a claim, Facebook users can file a claim online and fill out the information needed. It is unknown how much one will get paid from this settlement, as it will depend on how many people file and how long a user had a Facebook account during the eligibility period.
The final approval hearing for this settlement is scheduled for Sept. 7. Claims will likely be paid out after the court grants its final approval and any appeals to the settlement are resolved.
