ComingSoon is excited to debut the Into the Spotlight trailer for Entertainment Squad’s coming-of-age musical. It will become available on demand and digitally on September 1 and stars Leigh-Allyn Baker, Karen Abercrombie, and Kate Larson.
“The film centers on a high-schooler who grew up writing music with her rockstar dad but always preferred to stay out of the limelight. When her best friend isn’t able to perform, she steps in as her substitute at their high school talent show,” says the synopsis. “For luck, she uses a vintage, glowing microphone that turns out to be enchanted. Her incredible performance goes viral and overnight she becomes a star.
Into the Spotlight was written by Larson and is directed by Lisa Arnold. Additional cast includes Kevin Sizemore, Victoria Jackson, Jeff Allen, Anthony Evans, and Raphael Ruggero.
