The family wants SFPD to reopen the case, as they feel it was dismissed as an 'accidental overdose' because of their son's sexual orientation. There's a petition with 40,000 signatures from others who want the same thing.
Mayor Breed announced a new public safety plan where police officers will confront and arrest drug dealers as well as people selling stolen goods.
"Jaxon is Asian, he is gay. When I heard the medical examiner say GHB...and the gay community uses GHB... it was very dismissive."
