All season long, Kapler was making a little extra cash by recording videos on Cameo, the website that allows fans to pay celebrities to send a short, personalized video to them. The now-former Giants manager has been one of Cameo’s top baseball celebrities in terms of volume of responses.

His price continued to rise over the next two years, reaching $150 in June 2022 and $175 by December 2022. It’s not exactly clear when he started charging $225 a pop; his listing was still for $175 on June 7 of this year.
