The allegations that include forcing females to fence when injured are contained in a suit filed Monday in U.S. Middle District Court by Zara Moss, a four-time all-American fencer at Penn State.

WILLIAMSPORT – The Penn State fencing coach has been accused of being abusive to female team members and the university with letting him get away with it.

Moss says in March 2021 she reported the abuse to Penn State athletics compliance and Title IX officials and claims they were not surprised. Prohibiting her from seeking medical attention for a possible concussion and requiring her to train. She saw the trainer behind his back. She accuses him of forcing her back into competing her sophomore year before being fully healed from June 2018 ankle surgery.

Glon accused her of faking her injuries to get out of practices, calling her “lazy” and a “disappointment,” the court complaint states. A male fencer with the same injury was given time off to heal, she claims. After detailing the suffering she endured on the team, Moss said she expressed her opinion Glon should be removed.Moss’ complaint lists several incidents in support of her contention Glon treated female fencers differently than males.
