A former assistant chief with the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office entered a not guilty plea on a charge of solicitation of prostitution after he was arrested in September during a prostitution sting by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Harris joined Precinct 5 after retiring from the Houston Police Department, where he was a homicide detective for more than 20 years.
