Celtic: Peter Lawwell to return as non-executive chairman
Former chief executive Peter Lawwell will return to Celtic as non-executive chairman at the start of 2023.
Celtic won 29 trophies including an unprecedented 'quadruple treble' during Lawwell's time as chief executive. "It is fantastic news for the club. He was instrumental in bringing me to Celtic," said the Australian. Celtic's principal shareholder Dermot Desmond said Lawwell was the "outstanding candidate" to succeed Bankier.
