You need to plan ahead — figuring out your transportation, what to pack and what to do once you get there. Below are some tips and tricks to ensure your festival experience goes smoothly.The Aug. 5 through 7 event featuring headliners Green Day and Post Malone is not sold out, anda three-day pass for $409 plus fees and single-day tickets for $175 plus fees.
If you opt to drive yourself, be prepared to circle the neighborhood endlessly until you find a space, and if you find a spot, keep in mind that it may be 2-hour parking and you may have a half-mile walk or more to the gate. Using a ride-hailing service such asis convenient, but as the surge of festivalgoers use the apps, prices and wait times will increase.
Save money, and maybe even time, by taking public transit. BART is running extra trains to accommodate festivalgoers. Muni is adding trains and buses on the N Judah and 5R Fulton Rapid lines before the event and is also beefing up its evening service on the N Judah line and on the 5X Civic Center Express with direct service from Fulton/30th to Civic Center BART.
