moment, brought to life by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of Oscar de la Renta. Layers of wondrous baby-pink tulle, reminiscent of the soft tones seen in her viralcover shoot, complemented her Monroe-esque hair style, elevated with a gigantic train that covered the Met’s famous steps.
Bolden was also behind the electrifying gown worn by rousing poet Amanda Gorman. The rising star – who was appointed one of this year’s co-chairs – took to the red carpet in a zingy strapless gown by Vera Wang. When it came to the accessories, the devil was in the detail: “I really wanted to lean into the spirit of the Statue of Liberty,” Gorman told Keke Palmer.
