Euphoria series creator Sam Levinson has finally revealed a new detail about the highly-anticipated third season of HBO's hit teen drama.
growth as an artist, who’s “always seeking a challenge,” Levinson teased what the fans should expect to see with Rue’s storyline in Season 3, which he described as “film noir.” According to Levinson, Zendaya’s Rue will have to “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”
Last season ended with Rue finally reconciling with Jules and Elliot following her intense meltdown after her mother confronted her about a suitcase of drugs. Rue also revealed that she was able to stay sober for the rest of the school year. Further details about Season 3 are still being kept under wraps, but it will reportedly feature a time jump.
Euphoria is created and written by Levinson, who is also executive producing with Zendaya, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, and original creators Ron Leshem & Daphna Levin.
