The EU and U.K. have agreed to draft Brexit deal but British Prime Minister Boris Johnson still faces a major battle to win over key Northern Ireland politicians and the British Parliament
Johnson tweeted:"We’ve got a great new deal that takes back control — now Parliament should get Brexit done on Saturday so we can move on to other priorities like the cost of living, the NHS, violent crime and our environment." He is set to attend his first—and likely last—EU summit as U.K. prime minister this afternoon, where Brexit will be the first item on the agenda.
British lawmakers are expected to either approve the deal, or discuss the next steps during a special sitting on Saturday.
