The National Weather Service has issued excessive heat warnings for Southern California and predicts the hottest conditions in Southern California to be on Friday and Saturday of this week, with highs increasing to 100-110 degrees in the hottest areas with 95-105 degrees across the coastal valleys and Santa Monica Mountains.

The NWS recommends taking extra precautions if you work or spend time outside and, if possible, reschedule activities to early morning or evening. Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing while outside.

If you feel overwhelmed by the heat, move to a cool and shaded location. If you experience symptoms of heatstroke, seek immediate medical assistance.
