That’s where Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies found 30-year-old David Jerome Jackson -- hiding inside a clothes dryer inside a home off Edgewater Drive on Thursday. The ECSO said Jackson was wanted for shooting into a dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, damage to property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Officials have been looking for him since the shooting incident on March 15.
Deputies said they received a tip that Jackson was inside the home. After what they described as an extensive search of the premises, deputies proceeded to the laundry room, where they finally discovered Jackson squeezed into the appliance.“He was pulled from the dryer one limb at a time, as he clung to his tumble-ready hideout. Outside the dryer, deputies removed three dryer sheets, two mismatched socks, and a crumpled-up tissue from his surprisingly wrinkled Star Wars shirt.
