Paul Anthony who lives in Dubai is pursuing his childhood dream as he prepares to fly out for at least five games at the FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar. He shares how he is embracing his dad's 1966 World Cup spirit when England won the trophy 👇

Paul Anthony, who lives in Dubai, has watched every Three Lions game since he was a boy but this will be his first trip to the game’s biggest stage.

Paul, 38, who is originally from Oxford, said: ‘I have been in and out of the Middle East for coming up to 12 years and I have not seen England at a World Cup before, so when it was announced I knew I just had to go. They also have tickets for Brazil vs Cameroon, France vs Tunisia and Belgium vs Croatia and plan to meet up with around 15 people they know from England who are due to make separate trips out to the Gulf nation.

‘I’m pretty sure the atmosphere at the World Cup will be similar to any major tournament as there are many people travelling from the different nations,’ Paul said. England captain Bobby Moore is ‘chaired’ by his team as he holds up the Jules Rimet trophy after receiving it from the Queen
