Employees spill the beans on what employers get right—and wrong paid servicenow
The recruiter promised we would be a good fit, and when I finally met my future boss she said all the right things. The pay was great and, man, was that a well-stocked kitchen. I was smitten. I said yes.The first few weeks were dreamy. But, as time went on, the cracks began to show. Processes were nonexistent, project documentation scattered. It took me two days to find out how to get hooked up to a printer—and another full day just to get hooked up.
In fact, a new survey of 1,400 employee worldwide found that 85% of employees were enthusiastic about their position and company when starting a new job, and 72% reported a positive experience on the first few weeks of their job. It’s not just the big moments that matter. It’s those little, everyday issues that can steadily drain an employee’s enthusiasm.
This pain can be alleviated by giving employees access to a portal that provides all the info they need in one convenient place. Not only is this helpful, but many employees—a full 77%— expect employers to offer a portal to access information in one central location.63% of employees with access to mobile tools believe it improves their ability to access needed information and 47% believe it helps improve their ability to get work done.
