According to the university, the faculty excellence fund will be used to recruit and retain distinguished senior faculty and also provide early career support for selected junior faculty members. It will enable the Rollins School to strengthen its work in areas where it’s already recognized as a national leader, including cancer research; infectious diseases; safe water, sanitation and hygiene; and mental health and substance use disorders.
