Emmerdale fans baffled by April's age
Emmerdale fans have been left perplexed after recent scenes saw young April Windsor glam up in an unrecognisable transformation that has left viewers questioning her age.
The youngster, who also appeared to be wearing mascara, hit out at her family for treating her like she was "10". And it seems to have confused fans, as many of which, despite April attending the local secondary school, were under the impression she was still around that age.But, actually, April was born in 2009, which makes her 13 years old. It didn't take long before Twitter was flooded with comments from Emmerdale fans as they shared their thoughts on the topic.
"Go on April - dye your hair green!" another fan cheekily encouraged – though Marlon was busy giving Naomi a grilling in the pub for getting his daughter in trouble with school. Other fans were busy critiquing Rhona and Marlon's parenting style, as one pointed out: "Rhona, if you don't let April put a little make up on in front of you, she'll put twice as much on behind your back.
In real life, April is played by Amelia Flanagan, who is a year older than her character – currently aged 14. Amelia has some very famous siblings, as her sister Isabella is known for her role as Hope Stape in rival soap Coronation Street, while her brother William plays Joseph Brown in the same show.
