A rep for Eminem responded to the controversial Rihanna assault lyric after a decade-old song leaked
leaked this week. Last week, a snippet of the song "Things Get Worse" -- reportedly recorded during sessions for 2009'salbum -- made the rounds online, and a verse in which Em appears to side with Brown in the incident drew backlash.
"I'm not playing, Rihanna, where'd you get the VD at?/ Let me add my two cents/ Of course I side with Chris Brown/ I'd beat a bi--- down too/ If she gave my di-- an itch now," Eminem raps on the tune, in a line in which he seems to endorse the attack that resulted in a felony assult plea and five years of probation for Brown. A different version of the song -- minus the Brown/Rihanna lyric -- appeared on rapper B.o.B.'s song of the same name in 2011.
The rapper's early albums contain a number of controversial lyrics about violence , as well as homophobic and misogynist verses.
