The Glasgow Times previously reported that a number of streets in the city centre had been shut down today following a collision.
A Police Scotland spokesperson later confirmed:"Around 2.10pm police called to assist with an incident in Trongate, Glasgow and officers are at the scene." Now, photos from the scene show a large presence of police, fire crews and ambulance staff at the scene.It is understood that the following roads are currently closed:Glassford Street between Ingram Street and Trongate.We will bring you updates as we get them.
