John was flying from the UK to New York, where he’s slated to perform at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday and Wednesday night. But something went wrong only an hour into the and the pilot was forced to make a U-turn near the coast of southern Ireland. “It soared back in the air,” he continued. “A crowd had gathered after word went around that Elton was in difficulty. And as the plane came around again for a second attempt to land, the storm was doing its worst.”
