We are Canada’s only discrete plate producer and one of the lowest-cost producers of hot-rolled sheet steel in North America owing in part to our state-of-the-art Direct Strip Production Complex. Our steel is used in construction, mining, manufacturing, automotive, shipbuilding, and energy sectors including renewable energy and military applications.
Ensures that all roles involved in the Maintenance process have the right information, tools, and other necessary resources within detailed job plans to complete maintenance work correctly and on time, therefore maintaining the reliability of plant production assets. Coordinates closely with Maintenance Front Line Supervisor and Trades personnel throughout work life cycle to evaluate and define job plan details, preventative maintenance strategies, spare parts strategies, work priority and weekly schedule.
Manages rebuildable spare parts including stocking level recommendations, facilitating equipment rebuilds, scrapping parts and updating the Computerized Maintenance Management System.

But those data centers require a lot of electricity to run and water to keep cool. Will supply be able to keep up with demand? PuckNews Founding Partner William D. Cohan joins Yahoo Finance Live to discuss the supply issues that may impact AI's growth. 'Many of these data centers, of course, are related to companies like Google (GOOG, GOOGL) and Meta (META) and Microsoft (MSFT)' and 'data centers require huge amounts of electricity,' Cohan notes. 'It's not only electricity, it's also water. These data centers use a tremendous amount of water. I think Google said in 2022, it used 5.2 billion gallons of water to cool its data centers. So the combination of huge electrical needs and huge water cooling needs is... growing an acute situation,' Cohan says.
