Electrical fire at Logan Heights school site injures construction worker [Breaking]
A construction worker was injured in an electrical fire at a Logan Heights school site Wednesday morning, San Diego fire and school district officials said.
The fire was reported around 7:25 a.m. at a single-story buildilng under construction on South 28th Street near Ocean View Boulevard at the. The blaze was knocked down in about 10 minutes, fire officials said in an incident report. The blaze involved an “electrical flash fire” and was considered an industrial accident, a fire official said. Investigators with Cal/OSHA, the state’s workplace safety agency, were expected to follow up on the incident.at the site, which will be added to a complex that also includes two former district schools, Logan K-8 and Memorial Prep Middle. When it is completed, the school will serve students from kindergarten through high school.
