El Paso County officials in late July arrested six juvenile suspects connected to two Falcon homicides that happened in February, officials announced Wednesday.
According to a Wednesday news release from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, multiple persons of interest were identified, but most of them were minors, which complicated the investigation.
The investigation team identified two juvenile male suspects in the Falcon homicides after the sheriff’s office joined other local law enforcement agencies in a multijurisdictional operation in late July, the news release stated. One was arrested on charges including attempted murder, and the other on a charge of first-degree murder in the deaths of Lopez and Nickerson.
