Diego Bernal, D-San Antonio, said of the misleading ballot language. “It’s another attack on public schools.”
Last year, Judson ISD sought to pass a $302.5 million bond to air-condition 16 gyms, build new schools and much more. The bond failed. “The language on the ballot played a part in our bond not passing,” Jeanette Ball, Judson ISD superintendent, said. “We need a legislative change. The language shouldn’t be required if it is not going to increase taxes.”
