Wind Creek is being fined $20,000 for letting a person on the self-exclusion list gamble at the Bethlehem casino.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said a person on the board’s self-exclusion list was able to gamble at table games during a number of visits over a four-day period.The $20,00 fine was part of consent agreements announced Wednesday between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and Wind Creek and another casino.
The operator of Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Dauphin County was fined $7,500 for a self-exclusion violation, where a program participant was able to gamble at slot machines and cashed a personal check., begun 2006, allows people to request to be banned from casinos and offsite venues like off-track betting, from online gaming and video gaming terminals.
Participants are prohibited from collecting any winnings, recovering any losses or accepting complimentary gifts or services or any other thing of value from a licensee or operator. A casino must identify self-excluded patrons and refuse to allow them to gamble and other gaming-related activities, such as the cashing of checks.
