The former Panthers star is reportedly headed to Colorado in a trade that garners the Los Angeles Angels CJ Cron and Randal Grichuk, and will now join Red Land graduate and 2021 first-round pick Benny Montgomery in the organization.
Madden, 21, is a 6-foot-6, 185-pound right-hander who starred at East Penn before heading to Northwestern Florida State Junior College in 2022. He was selected 118th by the Halos last year, deciding to forgo an Alabama commitment to sign with the program.
Montgomery, 20, is currently at High-A in Spokane for the Rockies organization, hitting .282 with seven homers.
