The offensive tackle played 12 years with the Eagles.
, Peters, a nine-time Pro Bowler who is currently a free agent, said Friday that he “still plans to play this season in what would be his 20th NFL season.”
Peters, 41, started his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills in 2004, when he was signed out of the University Arkansas as an undrafted free agent tight end. He worked his way to starting offensive tackle status in his sophomore season and played four total seasons in Buffalo. Peters was then traded to Philadelphia, where he was elected first-team All-Pro twice, named a Pro Bowler seven times and won Super Bowl LII over the New England Patriots.
Once his 12-year Eagles career wrapped up, Peters played for the Chicago Bears in 2021 and the Dallas Cowboys in 2022. It’s unclear where the 18-year NFL veteran and likely future Hall of Famer may end up, but several NFL teams – like the Bills, Patriots and others – are desperate offensive line depth.
