Theatregoers in Durham Region are getting ready to once again celebrate the magic of world cinema. The Durham Region International Film Festival gets going O
Each day’s screenings will take place at a different venue, including the Centennial Building in Whitby, the St. Francis Centre in Ajax and the Biltmore Theatre in Oshawa.
Organizers promise a carefully-curated line-up of movies, along with expert panels and workshops for people looking to learn more about the industry. Among the films is a documentary of Mike Shoreman, whose paddleboarding journey across all five Great Lakes raised funds for youth mental health programs.
