Durham police have arrested more than 200 people after executing a backlog of outstanding arrest warrants.Over the course of seven weeks, officers travelled across southern Ontario and arrested 221 people, executed 434 arrest warrants and laid 757 charges.
Of those charges, 193 were for failing to attend court. Among others were sexual assault, sexual exploitation and aggravated assault. One of the people arrested was Peter Lucifora , 57, of Oshawa. He faces a sexual assault charge in connection with an alleged incident between 2007 and 2008.
