“It’s been inconsistent,” said Buttermore, whose team is seventh in Division I, Region 3 as the top 16 teams make the playoffs. “We play well at times and at other times poorly. We had a lot of kids playing j.v. football last year and now they are on varsity, so consistency is something you want to see.
Wally Swiney and Rocco Prati led the wide receivers against Orange. Overall, Swiney has 15 receptions for 328 yards and three touchdowns, and Prati has 12 catches for 217 yards and three scores. Defensively, linebacker Jacob Hanks had 9.5 tackles against Orange to lead the UA defense. He has 32.5 tackles for the season and one interception.
“I think we’re playing really hard and we know who we are,” said Stokes, whose team is sixth in Division I, Region 2. “We’re not trying to do things that we aren’t capable of doing. Hart also is 84-for-135 passing for 1,130 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Wide receiver Amari Valerio-Hudson has 40 catches for 549 yards and two scores.
