Duane Brown was not complaining from a competitive standpoint, but as a human.
This short week should provide the Jets with a theoretical advantage over the Jaguars. Jacksonville needed overtime to beat the Cowboys on Sunday and now will have to travel to MetLife Stadium to face off with the Jets on Thursday night.
“I don’t like it. I don’t like it one bit,” the Jets’ left tackle, in his 15th NFL season, said at practice Tuesday. “Especially not Week 16, know what I’m saying? But it is what it is. Everyone’s at a disadvantage. They played an overtime game and they’ve gotta travel here, so you can’t think about it too much. But no, it’s not ideal at all physically.
“This week, it’s going to be a physical game. Both of us are playing for our life,” Brown said. “Week 16, to have a Thursday night game, your body really feels it.” “I think the guys are very excited for this opportunity just to get back on the field,” Zach Wilson said. “I know I’m extremely excited just to get back on the field and get after it again.”
