During a soccer tournament for 13- to 17-year-olds at Starlight Stadium, an intoxicated 15-year-old began taking swings at spectators
West Shore RCMP continued to deal with youth-related calls over the weekend, responding to 11 cases after a spate of eight similar calls the weekend before.
An intoxicated 15-year-old began taking swings at spectators, then jumped over a fence and onto the field before punching an adult who was trying to restrain him. He also tried to punch several players before he was held down by spectators while police rushed to the scene. Multiple officers were also brought in to respond to a call about 8:40 p.m. Friday on Burlington Crescent in Langford.
