While automobile manufacturers continue, in many cases, to report healthy profits despite the lack of product availability, 2022 produced Canada’s lowest annual auto sales volume since the crisis of 2009. The overall picture, however, isn’t an accurate indicator of what transpired among distinct automobile brands, nor does the 9-per-cent overall auto sales decrease from 2021 sales levels provide a clear idea of what occurred with individual models.
Automakers actually reported sales increases with dozens of models. Big increases. Huge increases. Dramatic increases.
