All four tyres need to meet the legal tread depth
Drivers are being urged to inspect all four tyres on their vehicles or risk facing staggering fines of up to £10,000.
If all four tyres fall into this condition, the total fine would amount to £10,000 and 12 penalty points on your licence, the Mirror reports. Drivers are also being urged to check their lights are working properly, as having a broken headlight, rear light indicator or reversing light could lead to fines from £50 to £1,000 if caught.
