The accident happened shortly after 7:15 p.m. in the 200 block of Knauss Road. The driver, operating a 2005 Toyota 4Runner, was headed north on Daniels Road when he lost control at a curve, striking the side of the home, said township Police Chief Michael McLouth.“The corner of the house was missing, exposing the interior of the home,” the chief described.
A 59-year-old woman — one of two occupants inside at the time of the crash — was sitting in a chair in the room that was struck, McLouth said. The woman was hurt and taken to a hospital for treatment.A preliminary investigation determined speed to be a factor in the cause of the crash, McLouth said. The incident, however, remains under investigation.
