The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was found dead with apparent gunshot wounds following an early Saturday morning crash in northeast Harris County.

The sheriff’s office said a man, described as tall with a slender build and wearing a gray sweatsuit, was seen running away from the victim’s car with a backpack. The sheriff’s office said investigators also learned the black sedan the victim was driving had been reported stolen earlier from a nearby apartment complex.
