LATEST: A pedestrian and two dogs were killed in Aurora this morning after being struck by a vehicle that careened onto the sidewalk in what police said was a hit-and-run.
Calls to 911 around 2:30 a.m. Friday reported a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of South Reservoir Road and East Mansfield Avenue, a news release from the Aurora Police Department said.
Aurora Fire Rescue and Aurora police responded, finding a man and two dogs lying in the grass. A crashed vehicle was also located in the center of South Reservoir Road after the driver fled on foot, police said.According to the news release, a Toyota Sequoia was traveling southbound on South Reservoir Road when it left the road, striking the pedestrian and dogs on the sidewalk.Related Articles
