The crash took place at a bend in a Perry County road at the beginning of this year.
A drunk and speeding driver caused a Perry County crash earlier this year that led to his passenger being ejected and fatally crushed under the wreckage, Pennsylvania State Police said.
An affidavit of probable cause provided the following narrative for what happened the night of the crash: EMS workers tried to save Campbell’s life, but she was pronounced dead — in part because of severe head trauma, the affidavit said. State police said Smith’s blood alcohol content was 0.153% at the time of the crash. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
