Driver accused of DUI, sideswiping patrol car, stealing truck near Warner Springs [Breaking]
A woman suspected of driving under the influence was arrested early Wednesday after allegedly sideswiping a California Highway Patrol patrol car and then leading the officer on a wild chase through Warner Springs, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
A short time later, the resident called back to say a woman who had been hiding in some nearby bushes got into the vehicle and drove off, said CHP Officer Jared Grieshaber.A CHP officer headed to the call and was on Camino San Ignacio Road when an oncoming driver in the Mitsubishi allegedly swerved and sideswiped his patrol car, damaging the driver’s side, Grieshaber said.
