Ethan Coen’s Drive-Away Dolls promises to explore his trademark bleak humor and eccentric characters - all of which are brought to life by a star-studded ensemble. While he is not assisted by his brother and creative collaborator Joel Coen this time, he joins forces with another longtime collaborator Tricia Cooke who co-wrote the Drive-Away Dolls screenplay and previously edited many of the Coen Brothers' best movies.
Drive-Away Dolls Release Date The trailer for Drive-Away Dolls reveals the release date as September 22, 2023, with Focus Features handling the theatrical distribution in American territories. This marks the third Ethan Coen movie to get a September release date in the US after Miller’s Crossing and Burn After Reading.
Pedro Pascal has been cast in Drive-Away Dolls but not as a father figure like he has usually been in The Mandalorian and The Last of Us. Instead, the actor appears as an ominous character who is being chased by criminals for a secret briefcase that he is protecting. Pascal’s unnamed character is joined by an equally mysterious one, portrayed by Matt Damon.
