Washington, a 5-foot-7 guard, has been named as one of the top 10 candidates for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award as the nation’s top shooting guard. She ranks third in the nation in scoring at 26.2 points per game and recently became the second player in Drexel history toIt is the third national player of the year watch list this season for Washington, a graduate student. She was named to the USBWA National Player of the Year and the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year midseason lists.

The 5-9 fifth-year senior is averaging 7.7 assists, which leads the Colonial Athletic Association and is third in the nation. Her 146 assists this season are sixth in Division I. Hendrixson, from Garnet Valley, has six games this season with 10 or more assists, tying her for second nationally. Both awards are presented by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association
